What is the point of an 03339 phone number? Non geographic, so what? If someone has one of these numbers are they trying to hide something? Or am I just being too suspicious? TIA.

businesses use them so the customer doesn't know they are ringing a hub somewhere.

our customers in say, plymouth, don't know they are ringing hull when they want to to place an order.

They cost the same to call as 01 and 02 numbers - even from mobiles....so could be seen as an advantage.

Too suspicious, unless of course the call comes from Weronica, calling from BEE TEE regarding the suspicious activity on your internet connection from Russia, China and Pakistan.
