Has anyone found anything that stops dogs eating their own poo? (sorry if you've just had breakfast!) We try to get out and clear up the garden before any of the 3 dais get a chance to do so, but there are times when you can't get out there first. I've tried the pills you can get from pet shops, and they didn't seem to work - I've heard you can put pineapple in their food - has anyone found this works? and what sort of quantities? Thanks for any help.

Your hounds look beautiful Ratter!
Thank you D97x7 we think so as well :-)
Dogs are gross and disgusting creatures. I am utterly bewildered at people who let them lick their face.
Well Beso, I would trust my dogs far more than I would trust most humans and incidentally, I would rather have a dog lick my face than a human!

They look lovely Ratter - are they as gentle as they are made out to be?
Fortunately Beso there is room for everyone's opinions, and, bearing in mind how this thread started, I'm not actually too keen on my dogs (or any other dogs) licking my face either!
Islasmum, Yes they are extremely gentle, They say they are as gentle as a lamb with the courage of a Lion, however, when they are playing and running around you need to be aware, they will knock you over if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time and when they stand on a bare foot, you really know about it lol.

Everyday we consider ourselves very fortunate and privileged to be able to share our lives with these magnificent animals.
Can cats be trained to do the same . Dont start me .
I agree with RATTER, dogs in general are a lot more trustworthy and far better company than a lot of human beings.
My dogs sometimes do this but it's been suggested that if you feed them first then they won't be hungry for anything else!
Hold up, if you are going to the bother of sprinkling chilli powder on dog poo why not just pick it up instead?
