I think Aidan / JP has stashed the money but is trying to make it look like Billy screwed up. Why else tell hBilly good jobkeeping it just before they opened it

I might have missed a bit, how did that woman (Aiden's ) get the police to stand down? On the whole it was a ridiculous episode.

No idea Ama, maybe known to them as a criminal / criminal associate, I think they stood down as she explained away the scene as a test for her staff and said nothing stolen so there was nothing for them to investigate....it's really not clear though, that's just my best guess!
