Why?
I had a knock on the door minutes ago. The immediate query was whether I had received information regarding the government switch to smart metres. This was followed by info on how they will work...ok so far. But I became wary when he explained that his company...QUALITAS...was the largest supplier, and would be taking over the billing. That, in fact, most of my neighbours were already serviced by them...and would I like to sign up now??
Yeah...right. I pointed out that he was basically selling something, and then pointed out the "no doorstep sellers" sign on my window. He'd conveniently not noticed...and left without another word.
I've not heard of QUALITAS, and googling hasn't helped.

I like that. I shall use that phrase in future. The word 'witless' is particularly apt.
