Please can you help me with the final 9 answers - I've tried for weeks and I can't finish this quiz.

1. Have a try with art here (7)
2. Heard that a girl lives here (5)
3. Silent and torn apart gets repaired (9)
4. Oddly you get a rebate when you come here (6)
5. One of the men vainly attempts to get here (8)
6. Add nothing to this colour but check the ending (8)
7. Ban the right leader (8)
8. This place is for part of the residents (6)
9. Apparently move towards this town to beat it (7) - I have Tyndrum but not sure this is correct

I know this is a big ask but I thank you in advance for your help.
