A couple of months ago Ribena ran a promotion on their bottles where you could win (I think) a Mini, *something else*, or a Ribena Sapling/Seedling to grow your own blackcurrants.

I 'won' one of these (I imagine it was printed under every label!) and dutifully sent of my label and details.

Suddenly occured to me today that I still haven't recieved it. Anyone do this and get theirs, or know someone who did? I'm not bothered about getting it, just curious!

i did recieve mine and planted it next to my well established blackcurrant bush, but it never even produced a single leaf. it was a stick, not an actual sprouting seedling tho.
shame but there you go
NO! I never got mine! What a swizz! I must have sent my label off months ago...I remember thinking that I'd be drinking home made Ribena by August.

NOT happy! I'm gonna write Ribena an e-mail!
And I AM bothered about not getting it! I didn't go to the trouble of writing my name and address and cramming a funny shaped plastic label into an envelope just to have it disappear into the void!

I DEMAND my blackcurrant cutting!!

Woah! Unhappy Chappers!
Yes very unhappy chappers!

I got an e-mail from them this morning saying that the cuttings won't grow during the summer and they will send more out in November after harvest.

Rubbish! I move house soon! I'll NEVER get my cutting, how very distressing. Oh well, gives the new tenants something to play with.

Mystery solved!
