Hey, can anyone suggest a game that will be fun for my 80 year old grandad, my 50 year old mum (who's a little slow) and my 30 year old sister to play over chistmas please.

Newmarket.

But you'll all need a bag of pennies.

My dad is 80, mum 78, I'm in my 50s and my kids are 14 and it is a staple for Christmas Day and holidays.
Just had a look for the rules online. There are various ways to play but the easiest way is:

Take out the queens and put face up on the table.
Deal rest of the pack with a spare hand to one side.
Each player puts a penny on any of the queens and one 'in the pot'.
There are two ways to win. Win the pot and win the queen.
To win the pot you must be the first to call all the cards in your hand.
To win the queen you must call the king in your hand (which must be the lowest card of that colour).
Player left of dealer goes first and calls thier lowest black. E.g. 3 spades.
Any player with the next card calls their card. E.g. 4 spades then the player with the next card etc until no one can go again (some cards will be in the spare hand and will stop play).
When at a stop the player to last call a card calls the lowest card of the opposing colour. E.g. 3hearts and it goes again until the first player calls all their cards.

The pot gets won every game.

The queens can gather lots of pennies and well worth a win.

Lots of matchsticks, you mean ;-)
Poker!! Or Charades. I'll stick to playing Poker at PlayOJO and maybe some bets on the football.

It's got to be Triv.
We love a game in our house, especially on C Day. Sometimes the rules of new games are so complicated and silly we just say 'Let's play Triv.'
Everyone can play. Even if they can't follow what's going on they can think about what the answer might be.
