I'm all for it.
The two main things these days that drives technology forward are war and Space simply because that is where Governments are happy to spend money.
As I wasnt technological advancement and I dont want war Space seems to me the best way forward.
The money isnt actually so bad when you take into account the economic cycle as pointed out above and then add in the spin offs we get from it. It's not like pouring bucket loads into the NHS (with no reform) that just disappears inot Mangers' pockets and you get Jack from it.
