However Google suggests the full clue might be "Chapter in story about great success (5)", with Danword suggesting 'eclat' as the answer.

Thank you everyone. This site has changed since I last used it a few years ago. I was trying to find a couple of answers to the Times cryptic crossword 1291. I was hoping that by typing'chapter' and search would bring up some answers so thanks to those who managed to work out what I was doing.
