With a few exceptions (e.g. gay rights and immigration), New Labour was to all intents and purposes the Tory party in a red suit. I think JC represents what we all know as the Labour party (Est 1900). Left wing ideology, socialism etc.
Really? I think he's an odious commie who's hoodwinking his fans.
He's definitely very left wing but a commie?
err No.
With 38 years of Tory misrule, we now know who to blame for all of today's problems.
I never knew the Tories had been in power since 1979.

I posted a lengthy explanation on another thread on why people (or at least young people) are inclined to support Corbyn even despite the clear issues with his credibility and track record. I cba to re-write the whole thing but the essence was: young people are being absolutely screwed over and the electoral system permits them no other choices whatsoever.

I'm still very uncertain about the likelihood of a Corbyn premiership because a) he will have a different opponent next time b) Labour has yet to develop a strategy on Brexit, which could make or break them and c) Corbyn is fairly old and even if he is still around in 2022 might not be well enough to run a premiership.

All that being said, it is not impossible, especially because the govt is so divided over Brexit and has remarkably few talented people who could offer serious opposition.
Let's face it the Cons aint got the slightest chance of winning the next election if May is still in power at the time. I hope they never get rid of her.

bang on Kromo, BA, pity the hard core Labour brigade don't seem to realise they've been worshiping a Pseudo Tory administration.

I am pretty sure the left of the Labour Party were aware that Blair was a Tory in disguise. I am also certain they did not worship him, in fact they were his harshest critics

well many on here look back misty eyed, mikey talks about the 1997 landslide fondly whenever he can but still claims to be a Labour man.
