1. Recently we have been hearing a lot of non-stories about how "the scots are racist" cos we dont want England to win the world cup and then a few incidents where morons have a go at some folk for wearing a football strip. I firmly beleive the agenda is to cause a major incident so they can blow it out of all proportion.
2. Headline in todays tabloid "only way that Wayne want's to bury the hatchet is in Ronaldo's head". Now that's a smart move. Some moronic idiot may take it upon thereself to try and do literally that. If I was Christiano Ronaldo I would sue the idiots that printed that on incitement.
Am I as usual biased against the media or are they waiting for someone to get killed?

One of the worst pieces of journalism I ever witnessed was from The Sun, when it printed the contact details of Urs Meier, the Swiss referee of the England / Portugal game in 2004.

I used to read the Red Tops (for convenience) up until that point, but for me it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I now read The Times, but occasionally glance at The Sun (as my colleague reads it), and I now realise what a pathetic, infantile, racist, sensationalistic waste of paper it really is.

Or is it that it can quite easily be seen that football has a direct link to violent behaviour and is far more worthy of banning than any (say) violent film?
I've long been of the opinion that tabloid journalists are scumbags, and I've not not even had the misfortune to have any dealings with them. You only have to read the crap they print.
'It's just a bit of fun' they often say. The age old excuse of the bully.
People on here have been as moronic to the extent I actually posted saying that' taking Ronaldo up an alley with a bat 'was perhaps in bad taste but tonque in cheek -but there are enough nutters who would take comments like that to heart. There has been a lot of comments re Ronaldo of a violent nature.on AB.

Pretty sick.IMHO
