I can't see the point of raking this all up again. It doesn't do her memory any good. Why did she not see her children for a month and who was she with when she phoned them that last time. Not an ideal devoted mother IMO. Can any parent here imagine leaving their kids for a month . If there's any guilt it should not be with the boys.

surely for part of that month, they would have been at boarding school?

just wondering.
I suspect not Alba. She was killed on 31 August and I suspect they had broken up mid July. She was with them in St Tropez just before they went to Balmoral.
oooh, thanks BM.

the way things are being portrayed at the moment in the media, the actual anniversary is over a month away!
Wish the media would actually say that!
(I'm a bit grumpy today)
I will watch it as I was a fan of Diana and I am now a fan of William and Harry. Harry has said this will be the last time they will talk of her and I think it's fitting they do it on her 20th anniversary.
I didn't watch the programme, I am not that interested, but it dos seem as though they are drawing a line and taking the chance to speak for themselves.

As the public, we can opine and speculate until the cows come home, depending how much - or not - you are interested.
20y has Diana almost swept under the carpet. Its natural for her sons & heirs to make this program to keep her memory and works alive and credit their mother for her vision.
I certainly wouldn't watch the programme - I gather I've missed it anyway. I very much hope that it will represent a line being firmly drawn. This has gone on too long and there has been an unhealthy feeling (to my mind, anyway) about the way the princes have dragged it out. I am not negating the shock they must have felt, poor kids.
I was really disturbed when William gave Kate his mother's engagement ring as her engagement ring. I thought that was dreadful and am still amazed that she accepted it - but I don't know what he said to justify it, of course.

Please let us now put Diana to rest.
Car crash TV?
'Everybody loved Diana' was said by her friend's on the programme. I shouted at the screen, 'apart from Charles'.

Those boys are a credit to her. If it had been left to the establishment for their upbringing, I am sure we would be looking at different young men.

Compared to the mores of marriage and child rearing of royalty we are on a different planet - we couldn't even imagine how the upper classes do this stuff and they are a lot more like "us".....
So trying to analyse or judge the content of this programme is futile - unless you happen to be a Royal.
I watched it and I've never been a fan of Diana but I do like the princes.

I thought it was well done.
