Why just the name of the rail stations, why not rip up the whole of India's rail system, after all wasn't all that made possible during the 'dreaded' British Colonial Rule?

um I dont want to pick
but India was not really a colony ever
British Imperial Rule
or British Raj

Oh. Company - company rule - yeah OK under the old East India Company rule until 1857

can you change it to make it more historical ?
I am not saying you should ditch the whole script.....
Society was ok with it at the time, and he spent on the local area. Change for the sake of it, or simply to pacify the noisy pressure groups.
Just wait till they start on the ones in Bombay.
WE could start with Hadrians Wall (Salmons Folly?) and work down through the rest of the Roman, Viking, and Norman stuff, then we'd all feel really great!
Who cares it's their country.

What I do find amusing is when Indian (not UK Indian) people I know use the old names for the Cities - like Bombay.
Perhaps London should still be called Londinium - after all wasn't it made possible during the deaded Roman rule.
I think it has more chance of being Londonistan. And very soo too.

Thank you hereIam, it certainly rattled some's cages, if nothing else.
surely in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter, as long as our train stations names stay the same, i really don't care.
How many towns and cities in this country have colonial names from the Roman times still?
