Hello there,

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the etiquette is for giving presents to couples who are renewing their wedding vows?

I'm going to a ceremony on Saturday have been invited by the woman they have been married for 8 years second marriage for both don't really know them that well really. But do I get a present and if so what?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

They have already had one round of presents!

Anyway it's too soppy for words.
How about a voucher for their fave restuarant?
Bottle of wine,

I wouldn't spend to much, otherwise they will be doing it every year, 8 years, they are just starting, what is going on here!!!!
a small present might be nice .... it's hard to get a present for somebody you dont know that well ... something they can enjoy together would be nice a game , a coffee table book , a good album ... sorry if that was not much help
Wow, 8 years doesn't seem like all that long to hold a renewal ceremony - maybe it feels a lot longer to them! (I've been married for 20 years and it feels like 8.)

Let's hope they're not trolling for gifts. I like B00's idea of a restaurant gift card. Or maybe try a donation in their names to a charity they support.

If they like movies, maybe their local cinema sells gift cards. When I worked in a college, one of the student employees in our office got married, and we gave him a gift card to his local video rental store, a basket of sweets and a big book of a movie critic's film reviews.
