Italy - suggestions for a holiday

I have recently returned from a holiday in Lake Garda (Malcesine) in Italy and absolutely loved it. I'd like to go back (with my boyfriend this time) before the end of the year and wonder if anyone could recommend somewhere else in Italy which is similar? Thanks

I always find Stresa on Lake Maggiore very relaxing; some excellent hotels & restaurants, interesting trips on the lake, including one into Switzerland, a cable-car up the mountainside - and very easy to reach by train from Milan.

Hi wingnut - few lakes to try in Italy - Garda, Maggiore, Como, Ledro, Orta - meant to be a good - sold as the 'most romantic'

Search the above and you'll come up with a bunch of options from villas to hotels. Cheap flights to the region available as well so could be a low cost break too. Have fun . .
