Has anyone else seen this? What I didn't get was, if they were all in pods, like in the Matrix, and actually in a dream like state, why were they (in their dream like state) trapped underground and forced to eat healthy food etc? Why not have have them thinking they were in the real world? Or would that be too much like the Matrix?

Was it just rubbish or have I missed something?

They weren't in pods - they were living a "false" life underground. The healthy living was so that their "parts" would be in good nick for when their "real life" counterparts needed to harvest them.

The pods were to accelerate the growth from egg to adult, after which they lived "normally".
I liked it, thought it was a great film!

Aaaaahhh... now I understand.

I had been puzzling over this for ages.
I thought that it was a great film, really makes you think particularly with all the genetic engineering capabilities that we have now.
