Sat amongst fellow male workers, me the female & three males, them watching football in our break. The C word was said a number of times, till I couldn't not react. I think they thought it odd for reacting, don't you find it a vulgar word?

Why are some people assuming one is prudish if they object to this horrible word.

//prudish. prud·ish. adjective. The definition of prudish is overly proper or too modest. Someone who is very proper and cannot stand hearing any sexual reference, this is an example of someone who would be described as prudish.\\
I think you will find that a lot of Welsh folk regularly use the C word during a 'non swearing' conversation. It's a dialect thing........".I jest c do it".. " Why c you". etc.

Hans.

Hans is right. Hen cont translates as old mate even though the word is equivalent to its English counterpart. However it is only used in certain areas of North Wales and would be considered offensive if used elsewhere.

Oh, so physical violence is more acceptable than hearing the 'C' word?
