Answerbank used to have a chatterbank for people to chat but it was disbanded and the Answerbank Ed now frowns on chat within the Answerbank. Sorry, but I'm sure there's lots of places that you youngsters can chat on-line.
None taken - I'm 51 - well out of your conversational orbit ... or am I?
Lol @ Andy! 'conversational orbit' I like that!!
heh andy :)

I think the Litmus test would be.... does the original posters use of "txtspk" irritate and confuse you? If the answer to either is yes, then you are out of their "conversational orbit".

For me, the answer would yes and yes ( it does irritate, and it does confuse)
NT IN YR AGE RNGE DNT DO TXTSPK BT THGHT ID GVE IT A GO ITS ESY RELLY JST TYP IN CPTLS AND NO FLL STPS OR ANYTHNG AND LEVE OUT LODS OF VOWLS NT BD FOR OAP EH? LOL

Sorry old chap, I regret I am unable to keep it up; as 'Lazy Gun' says, it would appear that I'm not in your conversational orbit.

Toodle pip old chap, or young maiden.
Sorry I should have credited 'conversational orbit' to andy-hughes.
