Hi Ed! Yet another idea has popped into this vacant caven called my mind. I was thinking that could you make the 'last answer' in the bar below;
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- ~Wingnut~ I 22/06/06 I 3 answer Last answer22/06/06
-------------------------------------------------------------------------- a clickable link taking you to the last answer posted, that way when there are pages of answers that you have already read but want to see if there are any new replies, you can immediatley skip all that and go to the last answer posted.
Just an idea.
kind regards

Obviously I meant it would be accessible from the main thread page, not the actual question page as this already has that option. Just thinking of a quicker shortcut. Sometimes I have to wait for the page to load after clicking on the question, then have to wait for it to load again to go to the last page. Just impatient really and was thinking of a way to cut all that out.
wingnut, i think this is a great idea. i hope Ed considers it..
...although this could lead to a rise in the number of ABers jumping onto a thread without bothering to read the posts already submitted (if that really matters in all cases?)

Just a thought.
unfortunately - the last answer refers to YOUR OWN last answer, not the last answer posted.
I have mentioned this a few times here, that it should refer to the last answer on the thread so that you can see whether anyone has added since you did - i think most of us are quite capable of remrmbering when we posted an answer ourselves so this info is useless.

I sometime come one here more than once a day so a time of last post would be more useful.

unless of course ed has listened and changed it, but i don't think so.
