“She, er, bats for the other side, your lordship.”

Oh! You mean she bowls from the gasworks end? Even so, I imagine she still “identifies with” the female gender so Jackie would be far less confusing.

Thanks for the “Pink News” link, AOG. Must say it doesn’t help explain why she is called Jack. This is especially so as I don’t know, of the two photographs, who is who. I’m assuming, in view of her sexual proclivities of which I have recently learned, that the one with the short hair is “Jack” but I must be careful not to fall foul of the sexual stereotyping police.

I have gained a useful insight into the world of professional “bloggers”. The exchange between the two ladies is most enlightening and demonstrates a remarkable grasp of the English language and all its subtle nuances. As a comparative ignoramus (5 'O' Levels and 2 'A' levels from a good school at a time when a pound was 240 pence) I can only observe with envy. I’m sure the judge in the case was most troubled to hear that somebody who describes a fellow “journalist” as a “piece of ***” has had her reputation sullied. From reading the reports of the proceedings it seems the two combatants were made for each other. I also know why I steer well clear of any “celebrity” news (which explains why I often haven’t a first clue as to who creeps like this are).
Oops! I’ve just noticed this:

Monroe, who blogs for various publication including the Guardian, revealed their decision to come out as nonbinary transgender on Twitter last year.

Whatever “nonbinary transgender” means (and it could mean that he/she/it can get neither blokes nor gals to fancy him/her/it, who knows?) I must be careful with my stereotyping. The more intriguing thing, though, is why should she think anybody wants to know, least of all cares?

I think I'd better stop now while I'm still just about ahead!

If you care to peruse the AB Editor blog, you will see a statement confirming that when you and I agree on any subject three times in a row within the same calendar month, AB will close down.

Seriously.

/// no evidence round here that age brings maturity, aog ///

Don't be too hard on yourself, jno.
I never had you down as a Pink News reader, AOG, just goes to show that saying about books and their covers is true.

I've had a look, but can't find anything can you point me in the right direction please?

Just carried out a Google exercise and that came up with a little more information than was selected by the op.
A pair of horrible media *** have fallen out, and the ensuing spectacle we can all rubber neck at for our entertainment.

It appears one harpie slagged the other one off due to a case of mistaken identity. Instead of doing the honourable thing and apologising, she continues to fight even though she knows it is the wrong person.
The notion that it's OK for Ms Hopkins to libel someone else because the someone else is a Twitter combatant is, to sat the least, a paltry line of defence. If I were Ms. Hopkins, I would invest in a better advocate, if the best he can come up with is something along the lines of "The person my client punched is prone to punching other people, so therefore my client punching him is perfectly OK ...".

Ms Hopkins has made a mistake - no problem there, we all do, that's why there are rubbers on the end of pencils - but the mature sensible thing to do is to apologise, and move on.
