Since the new format, it seems to me that lots of threads (outside of Chatterbank and News, and possibly Jokes) are far more ephemeral than they were prior to the change.

Which maybe suggests possibly that the categories being more click-intensive to get results is a backward step.

I think it highlights why most posters won't touch sub-categories with a barge pole.
