on 'How To Holiday' (ITV, not the weekend just passed but the one before), they visited New York and the lass went to a huge discount clothes shop and said it was great (she spent 400 and claimed to get thousands worth of designer clothes) but recommended getting there early as it got very busy. I think it began with C. Anyone remember or know its name?

Century 21's cheap clothing is, contrary to popular belief, not the principle reason to go. Rather the nails, dress-sense and attitudes of the cashier staff! I try to go there everytime i'm in NYC just to admire their Jerry Springer-esque ways - hilarious :-) Never buy anything, but wet myself every time laughing! I throughly recommend it to anybody going over there.
I actually found better bargains in TJ Maxx, Or you could try Filene's Basement on 6th Avenue which works in a similar way, found some great stuff there as well. Not so keen on Century 21, it was slightly more expensive than those 2. Now is a great time to go with the exchange rate being so good, have fun!
