Can anyone help me please I have just made a batch of plum chutney and i've done all i was supposed to do but it is too runny. Should I boil it again to see if the liquid will evaporate?

The cooking process for chutney is quite different from jam. Chutney should simmer slowly so the liquid slowly evaporates - when you draw a wooden spoon through the pan, the channel should not fill up with liquid - if it does you haven't reduced it enough.
