I know a few Olivers. One is called Oliver Oliver. When he was making his confirmation his family kept telling him to chose a name after uncle so and so. In the end he decided to name himself after himself :-D

Some 20 years ago I taught a boy whose middle name was Oliver and he absolutely loathed it. He would never tell anyone nor disclose his middle initial. I tried in vain to persuade him that the name had a long and noble tradition.
