The ashes of Truman Capote, author of Breakfast at Tiffany's among other works, are to be sold at auction and are expected to fetch around $4000.

I don't know about taste, poor or otherwise, he died when he did, he isn't in that box now.

I suppose it's not much different from locks of hair of famous people kept as momentos.
I don't think it's bad taste. I just don't understand it. Why??
Well they have to do something as executors I imagine.
It's a bit sad...no mention of family...and ashes kept in the room he died in.
