Not very experienced with driving or cars, so apologies for my stupidity, but does anyone know of their car engine still going once it has been turned off?! I had a 30-40min or so drive in quite hot weather in my little Chinquecento egg-box yesterday and when I parked and turned off the engine, it still kept making a whirring kind of noise for 20seconds or so afterwards - almost as though it was cooling down. Does anyone know what this is? Is it normal?

Hi there, that noise is the cooling fan operating. It's perfectly normal in weather such as we have had of late. Hope this helps/puts your mind at rest!
