But then perhaps I am bias, I wasn't interested in the whole complete waste of money event.

I was interested in the Olympics, but not in their path home.
However, I am interested to know if it was a chartered or scheduled flight, as I mentioned this in another thread. I assume a charter given the flight number.

Yeah it was a chartered flight. Also a bit too late for me to follow the journey home, not that it overly matters. I enjoyed watching their achievements and it would be lovely one day to see some of them in person, or even meet them, but I couldn't realistically have been at Heathrow this morning even if I wanted to.
