The attempt to compromise was a kind gesture but duties should not be loaded onto other colleagues like that unless the airline offers two job positions. Serving alcohol and non-service alcohol. In which case folk know what job they are accepting.
Anyway to Sandy's question: very likely not. Consumption on the plane is probably not a great cause of problems. Most flights are too short to get steamed, and the attendants could exercise judgement as landlords must if the airline approves. The bigger problem must surely be getting tanked up prior to the flight.

I hope not, sandy. I'm a nervous flyer and really feel the need for a drink before I get on board. Then, if it's a bit turbulent I'll have another during the flight. I rarely fly, thank goodness, but may have to within the next couple of months and my stomach is knotting already. Younger daughter has 2 stiff G & Ts before a flight.
