When I was a child, many of the women I knew were on 'Black and Greens' for their 'nerves'. A lot of ladies seemed to have 'bad nerves'.

What were they taking?

Librium was a popular drug in the 50's 60s for anxiety and tension ( mainly women ;-)) Probably the most popular prescription written. It is an anxiolytic agent..........used for anxiety. I thought Librium was for severe bipolar disorder. I'm not a doctor so I bow to your better judgement, Mohne.

I don't think any of my aunties were bi-polar. They just had a lot to worry about. Shame really:-(
No - I take Lithium as a mood stabilizer for Bipolar disorder. Not sure what Librium is but it sounds familiar.
