Grandson moved into a brand new apartment today. He is the first occupant. Checked his inventory and the first four items on the sheet were walls, floor, ceiling and door. I will make sure that when he leaves it is in the same condition he found it.

Might be a good idea to photograph said areas in case there are any marks later on.
Sounds daft but if you don't make sure it's in the same condition when he leaves he won't get his full deposit back.
good advice take photos !
And email them to the letting agency so that he can always prove the date that he took them.

Sorry but I don't get why he has to take photos, surely that is for the landlords to do for their records. It is a brand new apartment and he is the first ever tenant. It is in spotless condition. His grandad and I have checked it all over. Shower works, water pressure ok, stopcock works, windows all have locks fitted etc. I only posted because I thought the first four items n the inventory were funny and my post was meant to be tongue in cheek. What am I missing here?

Hope it is ok to bump this post back up again but he only has until Tuesday to sign and return his inventory. Earlier post was meant to be lighthearted but would like to know if we are missing something important.
