. . . . Baldric. Went down the Country Park about 6pm, dropped him, Roger and Mrs B off at the top car park, then I went down to the bottom one by Reculver Towers to pick them up. Walking up the hill to meet them I could see him sat down around the half way point, no way to get a car any closer, so it took us a while to do the second half with some help from a couple of folks we've never seen before, aren't people nice?
Anyway we're home and he's gone to bed for the moment with a large G & T and some pain killers. Lesson learned.

Well, balders can dream. If he's smiling when he's asleep you know he is.
Question Author
Ok, I'll have a look later.
I think we have to up our game, ladies...if we are to scare Baldric into submission....or at least doing as he's told.....

Shall we bring in Minty with the sparklies......and Mauler if she's out of clink?
That's the way of ldt.
Gness, you've got more chance of going to the moon on a skateboard. He'd be in his element.

I've just been watching Tiggy having his supper. He left a bit for later, usually about 3 AM
Question Author
The nice thing with Baldric is that he likes female company for its own sake and unlike a lot of guys is not awkward around us.
Success is as calamitous as failure.
Hope is as hollow as fear.

What does it mean that success is a dangerous as failure?
Whether Balders goes up the ladder or down it,
His position is evidently shaky.
When he stands with his two feet on the ground,
Now he will always keep his balance.

What does it mean that AB hope is as hollow as fear?
Hope and fear are both imaginary phantoms
that arise from thinking of the self.
When we don't see the self as self,
what do we have to fear?

See the world as Balders' self.
Have faith in the way things on AB are.
Love the world as Balders' self;
then we all can care for all things.
Including G&Ts
And our own Rogers.

Lao Tzu, a Bhuddist pre-incarnation of Balders is believed to have been a Chinese philosopher and the accepted author of the Tao Gordon's Gin, the main text of Taoist thought. He is considered the father of Kentish Taoism (a philosophy that advocates living a simple life - with a wife and a LtD).
Nice one DT

"In complexity, there are strands of pure simplicity. It's just a question of finding them. That's what G&Ts are for."

Question Author
Now he's asleep again and Roger's made it to one side of the chair.
Jourdain, coping, I do think there's a certain likemindedness among a good few people on here.
Doc @ 22.52....I think that comes across pretty well on here......and isn't it nice?....... :-)
