what do we think people? Very bad Idea in my opinion. Whilst I accept that The Olympics is about sporting excellence and that many sports now have pros or at least not entirely amateur competitors but I think by it's nature boxing is different. Essentially I think it will kill off senior amateur boxing in favour of a pro free for all every 4 years.

I agree Pro boxing is a different sport with different rules to amateur boxing.
There are many pro sportsman who take part in the Olympics so why should boxing be any different.
It was wrong for many pro sportsmen to participate at the Olympics at all. But they've messed up the rules already, why not abandon them all for all activities ?
