But in all honesty, those public servants who failed to do their jobs ought to be sharing that sentence amongst themselves. Her mother (a total contradiction in terms) deserves a bullet to the back of the head and a shallow, unmarked grave, noting less.

No doubt there'll be a few Lord Longfor's who'll eulogise otherwise......

No doubt will be reduced on appeal by tax payer scum lawyer. This woman is a prime case for the death penalty, even with the min 24 years she will still be young when she gets out and enjoy a life she viciously denied the toddler. Evil, sheer evil. And yes, heads should roll in the SS, but they wont - and if they do they will get a hefty payout like that other awful SS...

Poor child didn't even get stale bread for for last week of her awful life. Plenty of pictures of the mother not looking in the least bovvered. Not showing any remorse. Unbearable.
She has to serve a 'minimum' of 24 years, so hopefully she won't get off earlier. I didn't think the 'stepfather's' sentence was anywhere near long enough. And I totally agree with you Chill.
she'll appeal viv, some blood sucking lawyer will be licking his lips even now.
Ayeeshia, let down by all supposed to care - no sentence could ever be enough, poor soul.
She can appeal even though she's been told she has to serve a minimum of 24 years ?? I was hoping that would mean no ifs or buts.
Social services are actually very good but with the 1000's of cases they have to deal with some will fall through the net.
There are good and bad and of course they have to work within the system as it is - shame the money is holding some like TTT back.

They'd sort it? Working within the constraints placed upon them or outside them?
Couldn't agree more,TTT,very well said.
Your Post at 2.26.I am referring to.
I was talking, this afternoon, to the mother of a son who is a social worker - he is aghast that the child was handed back to the 'mother' and says that it should never, never have happened under the rules. Poor, poor child. Do they never learn. Victoria Climbie etc..
If she were to get a death penalty she would only suffer up until her death, make her suffer for 24 years behind bars looking over her shoulder!

there is no suffering when you are dead.
