After a major car wreck I had no choice but to find a car I went to a million car dealerships, but at this specific one I asked to test drive a car I told the guy I really wanted this car he told me it has a dead battery and to come back that he was going to have it repaired so i could test drive it. He even loaned me a loaner car to get back and forth the place is an hour from where I live. Once I returned he had me get it from the Machanic/ inspection and there was a temp plate on the car with the temp plate registration on my name. The temp plate wasn't even filled all the way out or stamped to make it legal. My question is once a dealership gives temp plates and a sticker on your name you own the vehicle right???? I went to my local DMV and thy said everything he did was illegal and they confirmed that it said I had that car in my name threw the DMV he keeps calling I'm just wondering what to do here? Teqnically/ legally do I own the car? Mind you it was only suppose to be a test drive.

Are you in the USA, Sarah ?.
You seem to be in the USA , this is a UK site and we know little about USA sales law.
As others have indicated, this is a UK site and people here won't know about US federal and state laws.

Your best chance of finding someone to help you is probably on this website:

I would have thought this was more about state law than Fed about which we in Europe know diddly squat
