When I post an item on AB how do I add a picture?

you sign up for gravatar and post a picture there you can link to - or any picture posting site

I don't think secsee1 is referring to avatars as she has one already. You can use tinypic for a picture on your hard drive. If it's already a web pic just link to that page

I am sure some time ago there used to be a box somewhere that said add image, if not why not?

There is a box- the answer box. Put a link in there to the picture.

Thanks everybody, it all seems a long way round to me, I still don't see why we can't have an "upload image" box when you post a question.

because AB doesn't have that feature, you need to use a site such at tinypic, photobucket etc and give a link
