I need the book. Have not watched the TV series but have read the books that comprise the first 5 series. I am currently reading once again, A Dance With Dragons, After The Feast. Just so that I am up to speed with no memory lapse for the next episode. Does Bran get to ride a dragon? Must! Sam Tarley surely must feature! Ayra and Sansa must come together. Roos Bolton has got to suffer! OOOO can,t wait.

The books are a little out of sync with the episodes so mind the spoilers.

All 5 series are on catchup if you feel the urge. They are well worth watching.
Haha Craptics, I take the heads up to heart. Once I get my hands on the book the series won't keep up, as long as they are not syncing them. Every one I talk to who has watched the TV version and missed a point or a reference, need to ask me when they have missed an episode or fallen asleep, or been distracted. I really prefer to read such an epic with my own vision of how they may look. Brienee is a cracker in the TV series, she is not in the book.
I can't wait for it, some fantastic scenes in the last series, although they have all been good.
Is there a way of accessing the cast list, this is not a programme I watch, but a chap I met on holiday last year (an older American chap holidaying with his English wife) claimed that he had gained a small part in the latest series?
Have you checked imdb? You should be able to search by his name if he is on there or search on the series episode if the information is on already.

This is season 6, you can click on the episodes:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0944947/episodes?season=6
Would that have been filmed after February last year? Can't immediately see him, but he did say it was a small part and he hadn't filmed it yet. (Think he was telling me the truth, his wife seemed very sensible and she didn't say he was telling porkies)
According to this:

http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Season_6

"It began filming in late July 2015 and concluded on December 17, 2015".

If February 2015 then maybe part of Season 5?

http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Season_5

"It began filming in July 2014 and concluded on 12 December 2014".

Looks a bit late though they may have filmed or edited bits I guess. Bit late on though as it's usually starts it's TV run in April. This season started on 12 April 2015.
Have you tried searching for his name on imdb? Not all actors are on it, especially if it was only for a one off small part, worth a search though if you know his full name.

Season 5 cast lists for episodes are here:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0944947/episodes?season=5&ref_=tt_eps_sn_5

You can search on the general GOT page for a cast list but it will be absolutely huge!

Did he say what kind of part it was, that may be able to narrow it down a bit to certain episodes.

With regard to Brienne she doesnt really make it as a knight - everyone she`s ever pledged to has either died nastily or been captured by the really bad guys. The most annoying thing is you think you have it all worked out and then they bump a few more off.
I've read all the books so far, without watching a single episode, and i read a few months back that, in an interview, George Martin confessed the next series of GOT will bear little resemblance to future books as they have caught him up. Was bound to happen, i suppose, otherwise the author would have been forced to 'rush' the books out and that would surely have detracted from them.
Thanks for all your help Eve, will have a look.
I'm looking forward to it and intend to watch series 5 again before series 6, I don't have Atlantis channel but get them from Bro once few have been shown so will be avoiding spoilers on here ;-)
Have you seen this?

Seasons 6,7,and 8...bring them on....have read the books and watched the series from day one. Spectacular stuff. Love it. There are quite a few story strands that have not yet been done-the Greyjoy family being a particularly good one. Although the series will eventually leave the books the producers are in very close contact with George RR Martin regarding his future plot lines and character development so things should continue pretty well.
