I'm seriously thinking of changing as I am having too many problems with my current provider. The problem is, I only renewed my contract 2 months ago and would have to pay several hundreds to cancel. Would any of the other providers pay this if I changed to them?
Many thanks.

several hundred pounds ? who ya with ?talk talk as good as any but google a compare web site
If you are unhappy with your ISP go through the proper channels and make a formal complaint. If they can't or won't resolve the problem within 6 weeks tell them you want to be released from the contract as they are not providing an adequate service. Tell them you will take it up with the Ombudsman if they are not willing to rectify the problem or release you.

Then you should have no cancellation fees to pay. It is highly unlikely another provider would pay these fees for you
i went from aol to talk talk(i know technically its the same company) last May and was so disgusted with their service that i got out and signed up with BT in January(8 months into an 18 month contract) i had to pay an early release fee of £126 but was surprised to find out BT would pick up the bill. i had been given all the prices before i told them i needed to pay this fee so its not as if they've added it to my payments. Other than my £5 per month mobile bill, i have not paid anything else as yet.

Thank you for your answers. Paul I am in a similar position only I'm 2 months into the contract with Talk Talk But they said it would cost me somewhere in the region of £387 to get out of it. HC I will be making a formal complaint next Wednesday when I have asked for someone from TalkTalk to phone me so they can explain why my monthly bill has gone from £17 ish to over £101 ponds.I was on the phone to them for over an hour and getting absolutely nowhere. They are like robots reading from a script, you cannot get a simply question answered.I will try what you have suggested but the chances are I will go over to BT and hope they might pay the cancellation fee.
