Microsoft are clamping down on illegal copies of their operating systems and you won't be able to get the critical updates for your hookey copy. Get linux - it's legit and free - live up to your name 'light of truth' and get legal ! lol

they are available on bit torrent but are reported to only work for one day.

im just gonna put up with the odd warning or three...not really that annoying and i dont think my system is at too much risk just because of this !

ms are missing a trick here because if they sold a legit key for say 20 i would buy it but me and im sure millions of others arent gonna shell out full whack for less than 1 year of xp.

im gonna take my chances until vista then go legit.

Was your automatics updates on when you find out you had been caught with an illegal copy of the windows. What you could do is turn the auto updates off and this would stop Windows detecting that you have an illegal copy.
As the above say, do a system restore to a point before you started getting the messages, and then turn off automatic updates.
.............. or leave automatic updates on but change its settings to download but ask before it installs updates. Then when the updates come through, click on the option to do an Advanced install rather than an "Express (Recomended)" install. Then, when you see Windows Genuine Advantage come up on the list, uncheck it to prevent it from being installed.

It is likely that MS will remove the ability to prevent this software from installing, probably in the near future.
