Hello to all who many read this. I'm 16 and currently studying food. From a young age my aim has always been to be a good chef, a head chef. But Lately, I've been wanting to be a mid wife, BUT, i dont know much about what it involves. Clearly there's a big jump from wanting to be a chef all your life to wanting to be a mid wife. Being as i'm only 16 i thought it would be much better to check it out and see if i feel its for me, rather than carry on being a chef and always wondering if i could have actually done something else that i feel i could have been much better at. So, If anyone knows of any information on being a mid wife, and how you may go about it please comment. Also, the good and bad points about being a mid wife and how long you have to study, if that may be the case.
Thanks to all who do comment.

Clearly you are confused about your career options. The good news is that as you are only 16 you have plenty of time to make an informed choice.

Both options will obviously mean further education. Although you don't actually need any formal qualifications to be a chef, catering college is the usual route. To be a midwife, O & A levels (presumably), followed by nursing school then the selective training for midwifery.
