Did anyone else watch this last night ? I was on the edge of my seat, watching it through my fingers ! We should have more of this young man on our telly....his enthusiasm is very infectious.

I enjoyed it, although like you I watched some of it through my fingers! I couldn't understand how they extricated themselves from that terrible storm so easily though. One minute it was blowing a gale and everything was flapping around over the edge, and the next they descended just a little and all was calm. I wonder if the filming was severely edited. (Privately I think they're potty! Why would you?).
very good documentary, i hope they reach the top, of course i suspect anyone (with money) could abseil down from a helicopter at the top and probably has already done years before this but there climbers so there's the challange
I think they should have taken a helicopter to the top! :o)

I expect they do it for the same reason that Malorie climbed Everest....because its there !

Those scenes on "Scorpion Ledge" had to be the ultimate in look-thru-the-fingers TV viewing.

Backshall is a TV natural, and seems to have inherited Attenborough's marvelous gift. Lets hope there are more of this type of program on.

Worth paying the TV licence alone !
I like Steve Backshall but did not like the creepy-crawlies especially the spiders!
