I can't see any reason why they wouldn't move the camp , if britain exits the EU .
It's a pain in the a%$e for them and they would welcome any oppurtunity to get rid of .

Now , whether they came to the decision to put out this communication unilaterally or there was some agreement between them and the UK government , is another matter - i know what i think .

As to the other arguments put forward by the remain campaign , i'm yet to be convinced - i'm listening

How can they get rid of the camp? These migrants would need to buy a ticket and have a valid passport to board a ferry and get through customs.

This is just one mouthy Frenchman, others have said the opposite.

Many of the EU would like to see the back of the UK, until it comes of course to the huge deficit (our contribution) the rest would have to make up.

I would not be surprised to hear Cameron had something to do with it. There is clearly an orchestrated policy of scaremongering. Exactly the same as Cameron did to the Scots out campaign.

This camp is a load of old pony any way all they have to do is put them back on the train/boat to France, we know where they can from. There is nothing that says we have to process any sort of "asylum" claim. This is a French/EU problem created by the madness of the EU.

If they choose to let people from non-EU countries traipse across numerous ssafe countries why do they expect us to take them anyway. Surely free movement is only for members with correct documentation.

The reason is they gain far more from us than we do from them. If it were not thus they would be clamouring for us to leave. Our exit will see little change in the way of trade and even if it did the issue is not principally about trade or economic wellbeing but about whther people here want to live in a country called the UK or one called the EU. You will get the latter if we remain and, far from Brexit being a "leap into the unknown", it is remaining in that gives us an uncertain future. (If you doubt that, consider how the EU has changed in the last 20/30/40 years and see if you could forecast how it will change in the next 20).

The French threat to dump the Calais migrants on the UK is bluster. The Le Touquet agreement is between the UK and France. It has nothing to do with the EU. As I have explained before, it is most unlikely to be rescinded and even if it is, carriers still have the responsibility to see that all travellers have correct documentation and authority to land before they are allowed to embark. That will not change. Immigration control may be discontinued in the French ports (though it's extremely unlikely) . If it is it will be bolstered in Dover and any clandestines can be refused permission to land and returned whence they came. "Operation Fear" has obusly spread to the Continent!

Don't quite get that.The most recent entrants to the EU were Bulgaria and Romania, in 2007. They are both net beneficiaries - so why were they let in? And then why, if we were a net beneficiary (rather than the contributor we are), would the others be clamouring for us to leave?
