Where Is The Location Of News Interviews For Minor Govt Players.

Just wondering the location where they shoot footage for interviews with minor ministers and civil servants....a 1930s marble cream-pinkish staircase in the background, black railings and lamps with frosted glass - I could imagine that it is Shell-Mex House next to The Savoy on The Strand but it's probably some government institution near Shitehall.

The area is called Whitehall because there was a huge palace there before and after Henry the 8th's time. It had 1500 rooms.

The Palace of Whitehall burned down in the 1690s and only small parts of it now survive.

I believe its the staircase to the Atrium restaurant on Millbank frequented by all politicians.
