If you happen to live within easy travelling distance of Hereford, Crewe, Monmouth, Portsmouth, Wycombe, Northampton, Chesterfield, Liverpool, Keswick, Coventry, Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough, Reading, Exeter, Barnstaple, Bath, Oxford, Radlett, Milton Keynes, Bournemouth, Harrogate, Lincoln or Manchester . . .

I most STRONGLY recommend booking tickets to see Dillie Keane's show:

I went last night, with a friend, to see her perform in Chelmsford. She was utterly brilliant (and incredibly funny!).

Snap, Tony!
Dunno why that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw her name, Chris !
Question Author
She's currently touring as a solo artist, Tony, as her co-writer with Fascinating Aida (Adèle Anderson) has been seriously ill with cancer. However she's now hopefully on the road to recovery, with plans for new material to be written for a new Fascinating Aida tour starting in April next year.

Although 'Dogging' was the first song to come into your mind (and an excellent example of DK performing on her own), this is almost certainly the most frequently posted Fascinating Aida video here on AB:

Oh yes cheap flights, very good.

I didn't know that her co-writer was ill, Chris. Good to hear that she's on the road to recovery though.
Yes Chris, I saw she was at The Stables in Milton Keynes. Unfortunately I am unable to go. Glad you liked it though.

Liza Pullman from Fascinating Aida is on at The Stables in April, singing songs from the Hollywood movies.

Thanks, Gness

As a former teacher, I enjoyed that one.

AB won't embed youtu.be links (which are generated by the embed facility on a Youtube page). You have to use the youtube.com link in your browser's address bar, hopefully like this:

Thanks, Chris....x
Saw her and partner on TV a while ago, very funny but wouldn't like to sit and listen for an hour or so.
Hiya trt,....you ok? ;)

Trt:
She's actually very good at blending comedy and story-telling with, in places, pathos.

For example, in last night's show she made everyone fall about laughing by relating how a restaurateur gave her a tarot reading and then stunned us by telling us how that reading had predicted the death of her best friend. She also included a very poignant song about childlessness.

I agree that an hour of non-stop bawdy (and/or satirical) songs might be a bit much but that's not what her show's like; there's far much more to it than just that (It's also not just an hour. She went on stage at 7.45pm and the show ended at 10pm, including an interval. It was the best £21 I've spent in a long time!)
