Hi, I have bougt an item on ebay which cost around 200. The guy had many of these items and a lot sold. I havn't recieved the item yet as it said 30 days for delivery (as it is a large item). Now on ebay though it says he is no longer registered with ebay! Does this mean he is a scam, took our money and left ebay? If so, is their any way of getting my money back?

You can try and do a charge back through paypal, assuming thats how you paid. But to me it sounds dodgy and i reckon you might never see the goods or your money again. Good luck.
It wasn't from somebody called"Entertainment Passion" by any chance,as they done me.

No, it was 'tiptopbikes' however now they are no longer registered I have seen another auction which is a similar listing with similar description and they are called 'bikes2u_ltd'. Would I be able to make a claim back through paypal now or would I have to wait 30 days which they said delivery would be? Thanks for your answers

What type of member on ebay are you if you are the second or later one you are liable for upto 500.00 but if i was you i would contact them now, which country do you live in and what country did the seller live in, 30 days is a long time

Hi Cheater

Just a thought, have you tried contacting the seller - you should be able to still email them through the item description page on the items I've won section - if you see what I mean!

This once happened to me, and I was panicing as it was a lot of money, (but not as much as yours) but I contacted the seller and he emailed me back to say the account had been suspended by ebay - I think it was to do with someone hacking into his account. It was nothing to do with him though, and I got my goods.

You should still be able to raise a dispute with him, but I think ebay will say you have to wait until the estimated delivery date has passed and they then have 7 days to respond, so could be a long wait.

Did they have good feedback previously - and how long had they been registered off? If they've been on ebay a longtime, and sold lots of similar items for similar amounts, its likely to be a problem with their ******* rather than them nicking your money. But if they've only been on a few days, its possible. Of course, it is possible in the other case as well, but I would think more unlikely.

Hope you get on ok.
