I live in Lanzarote and have a potted lemon tree, an orange tree and a manderin tree. The lemon tree has starting to produce fruit but all three trees are covered in a white gooy substance under the leaves. I have no idea what it is and how to get rid of it. Any help would be most appreciated.

If it's like gooey cotton wool, you've got mealy bug. Any general purpose insecticide will easily kill it off
