Can a company call a customer when they are in the 14 day consideration period? Is there any info on this on the net anywhere?

No they can't unless (if i rememebr correctly):

1) They are returning the customer's call

2) They make arrangements to call - eg - I will call you after 7 days to check if you understand everything

3) A different department calls about an unrealated matter.
