Generally it's a flock, but it does depend on the type of bird.. ie it is a 'murder of crows'..
A group of birds is a flock. There are also other collective names for birds, like a parliament of owls or a covey of partridges.
covey of grouse. flock of birds. gaggle of geese. bevy of quails. cast of hawks. covert of coots. fall of woodcocks. flight of doves/swallows. herd of cranes. host of sparrows. muster of peacocks. nide of pheasants. a paddling of ducks. siege of herons. stand of plovers. watch of nightingales. wisp of snipe. ( a pub full of girls?)
