Been using it for a year or so. Last night it was disabled and a message appeared saying 'Confirm you're using a different phone to the one you registered with' (or similar)
Anyway, didn't want to click on that as I've had the same phone for years so I 'swerved' around it.
Tried reuploading it a couple of times with no success.
Now, I'm thinking that when I registered with Whatsapp, I was paying Vodafone for internet connection (Blackberry, if that matters) but now I don't bother. I use my 3 internet connection to 'run' internet on phone.
Does anyone know which of the many Whatsapp downloads might make it work again? Thank-you.

I've not had that issue, and I do not think WhatsApp cares how you connect to the Internet. My suggestion would be to note any groups you have created as you might need to ask someone to add you again: then uninstall and download and reinstall from scratch.
get if from goole play if youre on andriod O/S

I saw one download that said google something. I'll try that as I've got a google account.
It seemed to me that if you had Android phone you seemed to be obliged to have a Google account whether you wanted one or not. I know I'd not have one save for the "smart" phone I bought last time.
look on your android phone for the "google play store app" ,download it on that

It's a Blackberry and seems to have a blackberry app store. That's where it used to be. I'll go have another look. Whatsapp Messenger isn't 'having it'.

Flipping heck.

That's it. If I don't stop now I'll start smashing things up.
Been trying to 'back up' my info and delete my Blackberry ID.
Can't do either. Keep getting sent back to my original ID and they keep sending confirmation e-mails to the original e-mail address* which is no more.
*An e-mail address someone else installed for me for a mere £200 and which stopped working 6 months later. (something to do with spamming)
