1. 40,000 feet is the height (altitude) at which large airplanes like 757s fly. Now, as for what each letter stands for, let's think about that... maybe "feet of altitude for flying"? I have to ponder this some more! In the meantime, perhaps another AB user can help me out.
I have no answers here, just a suggestion.
Aberman, in the future, could you put all of these quiz questions under one heading, as the multiple questions push other questions off of the main page? If you put them all into one, then only one older questions will be displaced. Thanks
1. Something like "Fevvers on a frush" but I don't know where the other "F" comes from.

Thanks Buffy - My best attempt was along the same lines with 40,000 feet on a Flying Fortress - but it did not seem as neat as the answers usually are! Sorry Shybear(uk) It was my first attempt and I was unsure of the format. Thanks for the advice - it will be heeded.
Are they all personalised number plates?

Ho! Ho! Ho! Arthur - Nigel Osbert Simon Johampton-Smythe is surely a personalised plate - but I'm not so sure about the others!
