Blackberry Not Sending Or Receiving Email

My partner's Bb Classic has suddenly stopped sending or receiving emails. What can I do? I've gone into settings and put in the right password and everything. He's spoken to the ISP and his mobile provider and they can't help. The next step is the BlackBerry helpline, I suppose, but I wondered if anyone here can help me out before I spend hours waiting on the phone.

You could initially try logging onto your isp/email providers mail service via a web browser to make sure that works ok and to also check that the mail service mailbox storage area is not full.
